Year 6 homework Friday 25th September – due Wednesday 30th September

Hello Year 6!

For last week’s homework, I would like to give a special mention to:

Layla – for her very artistic recruitment poster

Marianne – for using our Guided Reading text to inspire her recruitment poster

Retaj – for a beautiful and moving piece of writing

Woody, Renie, Maya and Inayah – for being brave enough to do presentations in the first week

Well done all of you!

Your homework for this week is as follows:

Literacy / Topic.  Complete one activity from the grid below (or download the grid here: Aut 1 Topic Grid).  If it is a writing task, complete it in your Literacy homework book.  If it is a creative task, then bring in what you do separately.   Bring in what you do on Wednesday 30th September.

Maths.  Complete the sheet on numbers to 10 million, writing your answers in your Maths homework book.  The sheet can also be found here: Week 3 Maths – Numbers to 10 million  Bring your Maths book back to school on Wednesday 30th September.

Here is a video that might help you if you are finding the Maths difficult: https://vimeo.com/452565177

Spelling.  This week’s words are homophones.  You will be tested on these words on Monday 28th September.

Remember – the Cat Sat! (You might need to explain to someone at home how that helps you with this week’s spellings!)

As always, continue to practise all of your times tables and division facts and enjoy reading for at least 20 minutes each day!

Have a great weekend, everyone.  See you on Monday!
