Year 6 Homework Friday 6th November

Hello Year 6!

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  1. Please note that you do need to wear your PE kit on Monday.  Last week I told you that you didn’t need to any more, but that has changed.
  2. You must make sure an adult has signed up for a slot for a meeting with me on Tuesday.  You can sign up by logging on to Google Classroom (using your log-in in your Maths books) and looking for the Parent Day assignment.
  3. Also on Google Classroom are instructions for how to access the meeting and a zoom link which the adult attending the meeting will need to use.  Make sure you have a look and a practice so that I can answer any questions you may have on Monday.

Homework

It’s a new term and a new topic, so you have a new homework grid here: Aut 2 Topic Grid 2

Complete one activity from the grid each week.  If it is a writing task, complete it in your Literacy homework book.  If it is a creative task, then bring in what you do separately. Bring in your completed homework on Wednesday 11th November.

Maths.  Complete the sheet on Long Division, writing your answers in your Maths homework book. Bring your Maths book back to school on Wednesday 11th November.

The sheet can be found here: Week 1 Long Division (3)

Here is a video that will help you if you are finding the Maths difficult: https://vimeo.com/463003911

Please make sure that an adult has logged on to Google Classroom (using your log-in details) and signed up for a slot for a meeting with me next Thursday.  Please also look at the instructions for how to log on to the meeting with Zoom (these instructions are also on Google Classroom).

Spelling.  This week’s words are words ending in -able.  You will be tested on these words on Monday 9th November.

  • applicable
  • tolerable
  • operable
  • considerable
  • dependable
  • comfortable
  • reasonable
  • perishable
  • breakable
  • fashionable

As always, continue to practise all of your times tables and division facts and enjoy reading for at least 20 minutes each day!

Have a great weekend, everyone.  See you on Monday!
