Monthly Archives: May 2020

Hola a todos!!! Hoy es Martes 12 de Mayo,2020.

Hola chicos!!! que tal? yo muy bien!!! mi gato se llama Lulu, es un animal nocturno-nocturnal animal. Do you know more “animales nocturnos”? Check the video. Ask your family to join you. Lear the song and sing along.

Year 1 activity: L.O: to create and make a castle. You will need some materials to make your castle. Maybe you can use recycling materials, such as, card paper, cereal boxes, any kind of paper box, plastic bottles, plastic, etc. You have to create and make your castle and you have to introduce yourself in Spanish. Follow my example; ” Me llamo Gonzalo. Yo soy un Rey ( king, “Reina”- queen). Tengo 40 anos. Yo soy bonito y grande (feo-ugly, grande-big, pequeno-small) Mi reino se llama “Gonzalolandia” (my kingdom is called…). Este es mi castillo (this is my castle). You have to label the parts of your castle in Spanish. You will need to be able to name the parts of the castle. Check the vocabulary.

Year 6 activity: L.O: use verb to go “Ir” in Spanish. Today , you have two activities. First, read the PowerPoint about William Shakespeare (last week). Then, you have to create 4 questions and their answers in English. Second activity, click below and check the picture and the places around the city. Try to find out the meaning of each place.

lugares

Then, write full sentences using the new verb to go- “IR”: “Yo voy a_____, Tu vas a______, El va_____, Ella va_______, Nosotros (NostrAS -girls) vamos a_______, Vosotros (VosotrAS-girls) vais a_______, Ellos/ Ellas van a _______(you need to add a place from the picture in Spanish).

Querida Olivia, tu continua con tus libros. Termina “mi vida loca”. Ya nos vemos en Junio. Saludos a tu madre.

Extension: carry on with “Mi vida loca”. Try to learn the song “Nocturnal animals”, previous video.

Adios chicos!!! Lee la historia- read the story, MR. Gonzalo.

Hello Choir!

Hello Choir!

How are you all?

Jamie and I have been speaking lots during lock down.  We really miss making music with you all and are looking forward to the day when we can sing together again.

However, in the mean time, we have two very exciting projects to tell you about!  Both are nearly (but not quite) ready for me to give you the details for, so I’m not going to say any more now, but I do need to know that you are here and reading this.  Please leave a comment to say hello and keep checking this blog for further information!

Love from

Mrs Legg and Jamie

Year 2 Monday 11th May

Good morning Year 2!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I went on a bike ride, played some games and watched Stars Wars and Moana!  What did you do?

I’ll be spreading my phone calls out across the week.  When I do ring you, I would like you to pick your favourite piece of writing that you have done in Literacy and read it to me.  You might want to have a little practice first.  I really miss reading all your lovely writing so this will be the next best thing!

Below are the videos you need for your learning today.

Literacy

This is Session 8. Get your writing book ready, write today’s date, and then press play.  The video will tell you what to do.

Maths

Today we are learning to find three quarters.

Find today’s maths sheet and get ready with a pencil.  The video will tell you when to answer the questions on the sheet.  To find the video, you need to go to this website:

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/

When you are there, you need to click on Summer Term – Week 1 (w/c 20th April), Lesson 1 – Find Three Quarters.  It looks like this:

Remember we are not following the dates on the website.

Optional Extra Maths Challenge:

The Mystery of the Missing Sword

Everything else you need for today is in your home learning packs.

Here is the music link from the topic grid for this week (w/b 11th May).  I will post them every day so don’t do all the activities in one go!

Music: Songs to Learn – Look at Week 5, Monday for a song you might recognise.

Also remember to have a look at the RE Lessons blog one day this week to watch a video from Trevor.
