Warm up- Hola Buenos dias? Que tal? (how are you?) muy bien / mas o menos/ muy mal!!! Let’s sing “Hola , Como estas? “. Try to sing and use the new vocabulary.

Revision: Hoy estoy feliz y entusiasmado.  Today I am happy and excited.)

Remember: ending in “O” for boys and “A” for girls. For example: Tom “estoy enojadO”, Mary “estoy enojadA”.

Oral: ask children to use “Hoy, estoy (Today, I am…) __________y _____________(choose two feelings from the new vocabulary). Reinforce previous grammar point.

1. sad= triste

2. happy= feliz

3. angry= enojado/a

4. tired= cansado/a

5. surprised= sorprendido/a

6. scared= asustado/a

7. excited= entusiasmado/a

8. worried= preocupado/da

Check the video and try to learn and sing the song. Repeat.

Oral activity: Make a dialogue with your learning partner. Use the following questions and answers. Use  your white board to write your answers. Ask some children to perform the dialogue in front of the class.

2. Hoy, estoy feliz y sorprendido (Today, I am happy and surprised).

3. Como te llamas? me llamo_____ (name)

4. Cuantos anos tienes? tengo__anos (age)

Hello Year 2!

I have been amazed by the quality of your homework today!!

I particularly liked Jay Jay’s facts about Kenya and Cassius’s, Layla’s and Quratulains’ 3D sculptures of an African Savanna.

If it is a writing task, complete it in your Literacy homework book (yellow one).  If it is a creative task, then bring in what you do separately.  If it is a Maths task, complete it in your Maths homework book (blue one).

Please bring in your next piece of homework on Wednesday 7th October.

As well as completing your homework, please practise your 2x, 5x and 10x times tables and enjoy reading for at least 20 minutes each day!

On Monday 5th October, we are carrying out a science experiment to find out ‘How polar animals stay warm in icy water’.  Please send your child in with a pair of winter gloves for this activity – they may get a bit wet!!
