Hola a todos!!! Hoy es Miercoles 13 de Mayo,2020.
Hola chicos y chicas , estoy muy bien, Que tal? , Hoy hace frio y viento, Que tiempo hace? Do you remember this song? ask your family to join you. You will need to listen carefully to learn the song. Try to learn and sing the song .
Year 2 activity: L.O: to create and make a castle. You will need some materials to make your castle. Maybe you can use recycling materials, such as, card paper, cereal boxes, any kind of paper box, plastic bottles, plastic, etc. You have to create and make your castle and you have to introduce yourself and your castle in Spanish. Follow my example; ” Me llamo Gonzalo. Yo soy un Rey-una Reina ( I am a king, “Reina”- queen). Tengo 40 anos. Yo soy bonito y grande ( describe yourself: feo-ugly, grande-big, pequeno-small) Mi reino se llama “Gonzalolandia” (my kingdom is called…). Este es mi Castillo Bonito y grande (this is my beautiful and big castle). Yo voy a El Castillo de las Almas en coche y tren ( I go to the Castle of the Souls by car and train). Mi madre va a El Castillo de las Maravillas en avion (My mum goes to the castle of wonders by plane). You change the names of the castles and transports. Extension: write full sentences for : “Mi padre va el…., mi abuelo va a el…, Mi abuela va a el…You have to label the parts of your castle in Spanish. You will need to be able to name the parts of the castle in Spanish. Check the vocabulary.

Year 5: L.O : to ask and respond questions about “Tutankamon”. Today , I want you to carry on working with the text- paragragh 3 and 4. You have to create 6 questions with their answers ( 3 questios and answers for each paragragh). You have to write your questions in English but your answers in Spanish. You will need both texts , English and Spanish (previous lesson – last week). You will need an extra paper to write and do not forget to write your name, class,L.O and date in Spanish.
Start looking for recycling materials to create a “Piramide ” or “Una esfinge”. You can use whatever you want: paper, card boxes, plastic, plastic bottles, paint, etc.
Extension: look for more information about “Piramides”, “Esfinge”, “Momias” and “Rio Nilo”.

Wednesday 13th May
Good morning Village children,
I don’t normally do your daily posts, but today I thought I would to say hi and let you all know how much I miss you.
When I have spoken to your mums and dads they have told me how hard you have been trying at home, even when things are a bit strange and different, and everyone at All Souls is very proud of you.
Today’s activities:
Can you start the day with some breathing and stretching? Just like when we do “Super Stretching” with Jo?
You can find the video here.
Afterwards, you can do some of the Maths or Literacy activities in your home pack. I hear you are really impressing mum and dad with what you can do!
If you want to practise your writing skills in a fun way, you can join in with this “Write Dance” video. Today the movement is practicing going round and round in circles. What letter will that help you make?
You can find that video here
And then finally this afternoon you can choose what other activities you feel like doing. Perhaps you will do some baking, or maybe a science experiment, maybe you will choose messy play or some art. We would love to hear what activities you have been doing or even better to see… if you have any photos, please send them to photos@allsoulsprimary.co.uk
Stay well, stay safe and keep washing your hands.
Lots of love,
Miss McCarter xx

Year 2 Wednesday 13th May
Good morning Year 2!
Yesterday I got to speak to the rest of you on the phone and hear you read your lovely writing. I am so proud of you all. You are working really hard at home and doing some amazing things. Well done!
Below are the videos you need for your learning today.
Literacy
This is Session 10, our last video Literacy lesson!
Today’s lesson is about finishing your story. I know that some of you wrote all of your story yesterday. If you did, use the time today to extend it. For example, if you only wrote one sentence about your character building their machine, you could try turning that part of the story into a paragraph (a group of sentences).
Maths
Today we are starting some lessons about measuring. If you have a ruler at home, you will need to use it today. If you don’t have a ruler, here are some ideas:
- See if you can find anything else at home with centimetres marked on it, for example a measuring tape.
- Print this paper ruler: Ruler
- Leave the questions on your sheet that need a ruler, and instead do some measuring practice here: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/measuring-in-cm
Now find today’s maths sheet and get ready with a pencil. The video will tell you when to answer the questions on the sheet. To find the video, you need to go to this website:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/
When you are there, you need to click on Summer Term – Week 1 (w/c 20th April), Lesson 3 – Measure length (cm). It looks like this:
Remember we are not following the dates on the website.
Optional Extra Maths Challenge:
Everything else you need for today is in your home learning packs.
Here is the music link from the topic grid for this week (w/b 11th May). I will post them every day so don’t do all the activities in one go!
Music: Songs to Learn – Look at Week 5, Monday for a song you might recognise.
Also remember to have a look at the RE Lessons blog one day this week to watch a video from Trevor.

Year 1 Week 5 Wednesday
Good morning Year One!
Yesterday we had the highest number of children who sent their assignments and the highest number of children who commented on our blog! You are fantastic! Keep up with your hard work! Well done goes to: Quratulain, Cassius, Cian, Jessica, Leonardo, Faria, Calum, Leonor, Musa, Hana, Najah , Jayjay and Jaky.
I can’t tell you how proud of you I am!
Your activities for today:
P.E with Joe
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ
Literacy- Yesterday was our last lesson from the Pig the Pug and How to be a Dog books. I know that many of you enjoyed these sessions and therefore produced some fantastic writing. Today we move to another book called Lost and Found and the process of learning will be slightly different. I would like you to read the book and watch the video on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnSwij0VKzo
Please first copy all these words and find the meaning of the new words.
Think what might happen if one of your favourite toys got lost? You would need to create a poster to help find it! How could you describe your toy to help people to find it? Choose your favourite toy and write a list of adjectives to describe it, for example: large, fluffy, soft, brown etc. Please include a picture!
Phonics:https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/
Maths: Choose a sheet Ladybird doubles from your pack where you need to draw the dots and write an answer.
History: Learn about Knights
https://www.dkfindout.com/uk/history/castles/knights/
You also have an activity on Busy Things!
Reading: No Tricks Gran
https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/api/digital_books/1355.html
Have a great day!
Lots of love from Ms. Boric
