Year 3 activity: Hoy es Lunes 11 de Mayo ,2020. L.O: to write a letter using the Spanish language. Dear children we are going to write a letter to children in Spain. We have a friend school in Tenerife, Spain. At the moment, they are at home like you. The first part of the letter is in Spanish. Follow my example, “Queridos amigos de Tenerife, me llamo___, tengo___anos, vivo en Londres, Inglaterra. Mi cumpleanos es en ______(months-birthday). Me gusta____, no me gusta____(color). Me gusta comer____y____( eat-food), me gusta beber_______,________y________(drinks-use previous vocabulary). Yo soy ______,_______y____ (adjectives- “grande, pequeno, feo, bonito, gordo -fat, delgado -thin, rapido, lento). The second part is in English. You need to write about things you have done at home during this time. You can write all your stories or things you are going to do in the future. Be careful: capital letters, spelling, vocabulary, wow words, punctuation. You need to write 2 paragraphs. You must write full sentences.
Art lesson: you need to finish your pop up book and upload photos to our website. All photographs can be emailed to photos@allsoulsprimary.co.uk. Please put your child’s name and class in the email. We will display as many photos as we can here on our Photo Gallery page. Today, you need to create and make an envelope for your letter. Please, do something nice and beautiful. We are sending these letters to Spain when we come back to the school, OK.
Chicos y chicas, es “Primavera”- Spring. Check my story about a bee- “Una abeja”.

Year 1 Week 5 Monday
Good morning Year One!
I hope you had a lovely and relaxing long weekend and that you enjoyed spending it with your loved ones. I marked VE Day by watching some movies about that historic time and was thinking how in 50 years time children across the world will be marking a Corona Day in memory of all of you who were brave and worked diligently on your assignments as part of your home learning!
I am so very proud of each and every one of you and it always gives me pleasure to mention your names. Last week the children who sent their activities, photos or comments on our blog were: Jayjay, Cian, Faria, Najah, Jessica, Quratulain, Musa, Jaky, Cassius, Leonor,Calum and Hana.
Cian and Calum, I hope you read Miss. Ascough’s newsletter on Friday!
