RE w/b Monday 1st June

Hello everyone!

Welcome back!  I’ve really enjoyed seeing all your comments and prayers on this blog so do keep them coming!

We have a slightly different video this week.

This video tells a story from the Bible in which WATER plays a big part.  Before you watch it, have a think about the Bible stories you know about water – can you guess which story this will be?

The Storm that Stopped

Questions:

  1. What does this story tell us about who Christians believe Jesus is?
  2. Why is that so important to Christians?

If you would like to, write a prayer about what you’ve learnt about and share it in the comments below so we can all read it.

Year 2 Monday 1st June

Good morning Year 2!  Welcome back!

Did you all have a lovely half term?  I had a very relaxing week doing lots of reading.  Over the weekend, my husband and I watched the SpaceX rocket launch into space!  It was really exciting.  Ask a grown up if they can help you find a video of it so you can watch it too.

It’s time to start our school learning again.  I know it can be difficult to get back into the learning zone after a holiday, but we’ve got lots of exciting activities for you today.

Most of what you need is in your home learning pack.  Everything else is below:

Literacy – WritingLiteracy Monday 1st June

Maths (this video will help you with the sheet in your home learning pack): Maths Video Monday 1st June

Maths ANSWERS (for your grown ups to check): ANSWERS Monday 1st June

Extra Maths Challenge (this is your challenge for the week so don’t do it all at once): Greater Depth Maths Book 1

Literacy Skills ANSWERS (for your grown ups to check): Retrieving – Toad’s Wish

These are the links from this week’s Topic Grid for you to choose from in the afternoon.  Our theme this week is WATER.  There are more ideas in the pack, too.

Bonus Science Activity for this week: Build a Raft

RE: Remember to look at the RE blog sometime this week.

Have a great day everyone.  I’m looking forward to speaking to you all at some point this week.

Love from Mrs Legg
