Hello Year 6!

Hello Year 6!

I hope you and your families are all safe and well. How are you finding home learning? I can see Miss Cooley is giving you lots of interesting things to do.

At the weekend I did some baking, and have also been trying to learn my ukelele… (I’m not very good!)

What interesting things have you been doing to keep yourselves busy?

I’m looking forward to seeing your rainbows.

Missing you all lots.

Laura 🙂

Hi Laura I am finding home learning OK but sometimes it can be boring because it’s not like the usual class where we talk to each other about our ideas.

      Hi Mischa,
I understand, it is a very different way of learning. Perhaps if you have any interesting ideas you can share them on here with the class, Miss Cooley and I. We’d love to hear them 🙂

Bonjour Laura, I have been learning a bit of French on duolingo to keep myself occupied through all of this and it is going well so far. I also hope you and your family are well and will continue that way . Home studying is going pretty good besides it is a bit different as its not our usual way of learning. I hope to hear from you again soon soon 🙂 .

hi Laura. I am doing some baking, obviously some home work, some reading, some exercise. I made a routine that I am going to do exercise every 5pm and I am going to do some painting maybe on Thursday also I am also doing other fun stuff. but I am going to keep track of the news

      Hi Hannifa,
It’s a great idea to have a routine. Painting sounds like lots of fun.
Watching newsround is the best way for you to keep up with the news- often they answer questions that you may be wondering about.
I’m looking forward to hearing about what you’re getting up to.

      Hi Arash,
I’m good thank you, I’m in Devon spending some time with my family.
It sounds like you’re using your time very productively!

Hi Laura. Nothing much is happening. I’ve just been doing word crosses, word searches and sudoku. I’m fine but my mum isn’t. She’s been in bed all day. She’s had breakfast in bed and lunch in bed but she got out at 7:00 pm. Then today my little baby brother fell ill with a temperature. There’s a lot of homework to do! Poor you had to do that big pack for 25 children.

Good luck with the homework year6! 😉

      Hi Aleena,
I’m sorry to hear some of your family are feeling poorly. I hope they start to feel better soon.

    Hello Laura,

I have been meaning to text you to see how you are.

I have been using the Ted Baker Journal you bought me for Christmas – I thought this was the perfect time to start writing, on a daily basis, in it.

    Hope you are well,

    Tracey x

    Hi Laura,
how nice to hear from you!!! I agree with Mischa online studying is not as fun as being at school. I do try in keeping busy and have a routine but it is not easy when your baby sister is very curios in all that you do. I was thinking, can we organize a face time conference for all our class and teachers to discuss how we feel about the situation and how we are coping with this world wide pandemic [COVID-19] .

      Hi Karim,
It’s lovely to hear from you too- I’m glad you’re keeping busy. It sounds like your baby sister likes having you around at home!
At the moment, the best place for us all to keep in contact is via the blog.
Please continue to let me know how you’re getting on.
      Laura
