Happy Friday Year 6!

Hope you are all well – I have just been out for a little 3 mile run before blogging you all.

I have uploaded 2 Busy Things assignments for you today:

English – What is an adverb?

Maths – Calculating perimeters of rectilinear shapes.  I am also including a link to the 2017 Maths Reasoning (Paper 2) test – I know this did not get photocopied because the photocopiers were under immense stress on that Wednesday!  You can download the test and answer as many questions on paper.  I will then post the answers on Monday for you to mark your own work…

I have seen lots of you accessing the ‘Busy things’ page and many of you have blogged me. However, there are a few children I have not heard from.  Are any of you in contact with Kane, Abdullah, Aidan, Jez, Lorenzo, Jimi or Adyan?  Just wanting to make sure they are okay – if any of you are in contact with them, please ask them to respond to my blog.

    I am in contact with some of the people that you have mentioned and I will tell them to write a comment.
    thank you for giving the link to the reasoning paper 2017. however, it tells us to do paper 2016 first so,if you can upload the link it would be much appreciated.

      Good afternoon Yasir,

      Thank you for offering to get in contact with the children I have not heard from. I have now seen that Jimi is using ‘Busy Things’, so I know he is okay and has access to our online learning.

      Do not worry about the 2016 paper – the links for this do not work properly, so just start with 2017.

    I am missing going to school and seeing everyone. I’m at home doing a lot of cooking and baking, what have you been doing?

      I can imagine how much you are missing school and your friends. Are you in contact with any of them?

      I have been doing lots of washing today. Was hoping it might dry with all the wind! Although, I think it was just snowing!!

    Hi Miss Cooley,

    Nice to see that you are well! This week I have completed some of the Maths reasoning and I have started writing my own story. We are going out every day in the garden with bikes and scooters/ball, but I miss normal school! Yesterday I baked a cake on my own and the whole family enjoyed it .

      Hello…I am not sure if this is Aaron or Adyan, as you both have the same surname and initial.

      Great to hear you are starting to write your own story – what is it about? Did you plan it out first?

      It is good that you are going outside for some fresh air, and that you are keeping yourself busy with baking. What did you make? I made an apple and orange cake yesterday.

        It is Aaron. my story is about a dwarf who has to go on a long an perilous journey to return a ‘staff’ to the Temple of Doom. My mum made me plan the story but it is going to be a long story .
