Friday 24th April

Morning Year 5 – today the paper packs, that I spoke to you and your parents about, will start to be delivered. You should receive a letter explaining your home learning pack, a suggested timetable for you to follow, Maths worksheets for the next 4 weeks (with answers) along with your spelling words and an exercise book for you to do some writing in.

Pobble lesson today – All About Food Health. For this you will be looking at another child’s piece of work, for ideas, and then you will need to write your recipe (of your choice) using the success criteria to help you. Copy and paste the link below…

    This is my pobble recipe. We tried it out at Easter and they were delicious.

    GLUTEN FREE SUGAR COOKIES

    Learn how to make the best Gluten Free Sugar Cookies recipe that are easy to roll out and perfect for any occasion.

    Prep Time: 10 minutes
    Cook Time: 12 minutes
    Chilling: 1 hour

    Ingredients
    • 1 cup sugar
    • ½ cup butter, softened
    • 1 egg, room temperature
    • 1 tablespoon milk
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • ¼ teaspoon salt, (omit if butter is salted)
    • 2 cups gluten free all purpose flour

    Instructions
    1. In a large bowl beat together sugar and butter until very light and fluffy.
    2. Add the egg, milk, vanilla, and salt to the butter/sugar mixture. Beat again until very well combined.
    3. Add the flour and beat at low speed until combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
    4. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

    5. Use half the cold dough and roll out to about 1/4 thickness. Cut out the dough with cookie cutters and use a spatula to transfer the cut out cookies onto a prepared baking sheets.

    6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are set. After cookies have cooled, decorate with icing sugar and sprinkles.
