Year 2 Monday 4th May

Good morning Year 2!

Did you have a lovely weekend?  What did you do?  When I ring you this week, it would be lovely to hear your answers so think of something to tell me!  I did a very boring adult thing of sorting the cupboards in the kitchen!  I’m sure you can tell me something much more interesting than that.

Below are the videos you need for your learning today.  There are also some new links to match the links on your topic grid for this week.

Literacy

This is Session 5. Get your writing book ready, write today’s date, and then press play.  The video will tell you what to do.

Maths

Today we are learning to recognise a third.  This is where we start look at some things we haven’t learnt in school yet.

Find today’s maths sheet and get ready with a pencil.  The video will tell you when to answer the questions on the sheet.  To find the video, you need to go to this website:

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/

When you are there, you need to click on Week 2, Lesson 1 – Recognise a Third.  It looks like this:

Remember we are not following the dates on the website.

If your adult at home would like a bit more information about how to use these videos, they can read about them here: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/

Everything else you need for today is in your home learning packs.

Here are the links from the topic grid for this week (w/b 4th May).  I will post them every day so don’t do all the activities in one go!

Jousting Knights

Music: Songs to Learn – Have a look in Week 6 to find the Great Fire of London song we learnt in school.

Also remember to have a look at the RE Lessons blog one day this week to watch a video from Trevor.
