Morning Miss Cooley,
I’m really enjoying this book!
Here are my answers for today:
-The narrators best friend is called Gaia
-The weather is changing for the worse, its like a monsoon
-The teachers are arguing about letting the children out to play, some of the children don’t have coats and are getting soaked. there is a lot of tension in the air. And the buildings are described as “springing leaks”.
Have a good day!
Jimi
Hello miss Cooley I can’t see the link to our literacy lesson and I don’t get where I should go to get to challenge because there isn’t a link for me t get there
2)It has been raining a lot and it has never stopped and it is the wettest month on record and comparing it to a monsoon in India.
3)You would never be dry and even when you thought the rain stopped you could still see the drops in the puddles and always hear the clanging of pans and buckets. Also that things can be much worse than a man-eating giant taking you away which makes me question, what is she thinking about and is it about the Bluchers? Are the Bluchers planting? Because buildings fell and replaced with strange, menacing plants. Perhaps a beenstalk? Probably not. It makes you think that something bad is going to happen and it makes you scared inside.

Hi miss Cooley,
This is my answers from the questions:
His best friend is called Gaia.
The thing that was unusual was that the teacher Miss Farraway keeps stopping when she talks.
The author makes the reader know something is unusual because he put a lot of ellipsis in the speech when she talks.
(Im not sure about the last 2 questions, I think they are wrong)
Kapo
Question 2 is more about the unusual events e.g. the fact that it is raining so much. Unfortunately, you were not one of the fastest to blog – hopefully you will make it tomorrow.
Question 3 is more about the unusual events e.g. the fact that it is raining so much. Unfortunately, you were not one of the fastest to blog – hopefully you will make it tomorrow.
Good morning Miss Cooley here are my answers to the challenge
The narrators best friend is called Michael.
The unusual thing that has been happening is that it rains every day.
Answer 1 is not Michael – Michael is the person he walks to school with, but this is not the narrator’s best friend. Unfortunately, you were not one of the fastest to blog – hopefully you will make it tomorrow.
Hi Miss Cooley nice to speak to you this morning i hope you and your family are doing well.
This is all my answers to the questions to consider after reading chapter two.
Who the narrators best friend? I think it is Gaia.
Something unusual is happening to the town? it has been consistently raining.
How dose the author convey to the reader that something is not right? I get the impression a terrible flood is going to happen because it keeps on raining and they are in a tower so they could survive and the Blucher’s could be birds so they could survive and he dose say that he wants to make his self get up not the birds waking him up.
Hi Miss Cooley, my dad was accepted to rehabilitation nut they need o find a bed for him.
My cousin spoke to his neurologist and they will try arrange a day to visit him.
