Good morning Year One!
It is a very special day today! After 10 weeks of closure, our school is re-opening its doors today for Year 1 children! Some of you will be joining our Year 1 team today and some of you will continue with your home learning tasks. I am very excited to be welcoming you and if you decided to join us, please make sure you come to school on time so we can accommodate everyone according to the new rules. On our website you can find all the relevant information, including a social story for our class about returning to school. I will continue with our phone calls this week, so if you have any queries please do ask!
A huge well done to our bloggers who wrote their comments on Friday, they are : Faria, Najah, Cassius, Cian and Hana! These children also finished their online activities. Let’s see more of your comments this week! Also, well done to Leonor, Musa, Jayjay, Quratulain and Jessica for sending their assignments via email or online.

I would also like to introduce a very popular online maths game called the Sumdog.
Sumdog is an online learning platform that has proven very popular for schools. This is something extra for you and your child to look at helping to motivate work on their maths along with some English and spelling, at home. In the current climate the website states that all online learning is free until the outbreak is over. All you have to do is the following:
-
Make a free parent account (This makes you an administrator for your child)
-
Next, set up a login for your child.
Usually, if a family wanted full access they would have to pay a subscription of £4.00 per month but the website states that during COVID-19, ALL access is free.

from Ms. Boric
Musa loved the tadpole story, it was very interesting and Musa was very sad at the end as the frog ate the butterfly not knowing that was his beautiful rainbow caterpillar.
Even I was shocked when the frog ate the butterfly!
I know, what an unexpected ending! We spoke today at school about changes and how inevitable they can be.
So pleased that he enjoyed the story and that he is accessing the online learning. Well done!
