Year 6 Homework – Friday 16th October
Hello Year 6!
Your homework for this week is as follows:
Literacy:
This week I would like you to take a break from your topic grid.
As part of Black History Month and our Not Forgotten Project, this week we learnt the story of Walter Tull.
I have set you a writing task on Google Classroom about Walter Tull. You need to go to Google Classroom to complete this week’s Literacy homework. Most of you have successfully logged in at home. If you haven’t yet, it is really important that you keep trying. We know your log-ins are correct as we have used them in school so it is likely the problem is your end and so you must try to find a solution. Some children have recommended downloading the Google Classroom app.
Maths: Complete the sheet on addition and subtraction, writing your answers in your Maths homework book. The sheet can be found here: Week 6 – Add and subtract integers Bring your Maths book back to school by Wednesday 21st October.
Here is a video that might help you if you are finding the Maths difficult: https://vimeo.com/456840497
Spelling. This week’s words use a hyphen to join a prefix ending with a vowel to a root word beginning with a vowel. You will be tested on these words on Monday 19th October.
- co-operate
- co-ordinate
- co-own
- co-author
- re-enter
- re-educate
- re-examine
- re-evaluate
- re-energise
- re-elect
As always, continue to practise all of your times tables and division facts and enjoy reading for at least 20 minutes each day!
Have a great weekend, everyone. See you on Monday!
