Hello Year 6!
Your homework for this week is as follows:
Literacy / Topic. Complete one activity from the grid below (or download the grid here: Aut 1 Topic Grid). If it is a writing task, complete it in your Literacy homework book. If it is a creative task, then bring in what you do separately. Bring in what you do on Wednesday 7th October.
Maths. Complete the sheet on rounding , writing your answers in your Maths homework book. The sheet can be found here: Week 4 – Round any number Bring your Maths book back to school on Wednesday 7th October.
Here is a video that might help you if you are finding the Maths difficult: https://vimeo.com/454667122
It is really important that you try hard to access the worksheet on a device at home as if our Bubble closes, that is how you will be expected to access your Maths. If you’re really struggling, you can ask Laura for a paper copy on Monday. I will still expect the homework to be returned on Wednesday.
Spelling. This week’s words are words ending in -ant, -ance and -ancy. You will be tested on these words on Monday 5th October.
- observant
- observance
- expectant
- expectancy
- hesitant
- hesitancy
- tolerant
- tolerance
- relevant
- relevance
Remember – if the root word can have –ation added to it, then –ant is a good guess.
As always, continue to practise all of your times tables and division facts and enjoy reading for at least 20 minutes each day!
Have a great weekend, everyone. See you on Monday!
