“Comida”-food: check the next powerpoint about food. Extra vocabulary- singular and plurals: Singular-just one object or thing “me gusta el platano, no me gusta el platano ( I like the banana, I do not like the banana- singular , just one). Plural, more than one: “Me gustaN los platanoS , no me gustaN los platanoS ( I like bananaS, I do not like bananaS). “EL -LA” you use them with singular – one object,”El platano= the banana, LA manzana= the apple. “LOS (PLURAL OF EL)- LAS (PLURAL OF LA)” you use them with plurals , more than one object, “LOS platanos= bananas, LAS manzanas= apples. Me ENCANTA la manzana= I love the apple, Me ENCANTAN las manzanas= I love apples. Read carefully and compare the sentences.

Writing activity: you need to write a full dialogue on an extra paper. Do not forget to write: your name, class, date in Spanish and L.O. You need to  write a dialogue between you and any friend (you imagine a friend to write a conversation) using the previous oral activity -questions and answers-vocabulary. Use “Spanish basic phrases”. You will need add to 2 more questions and answers ,one singular and one plural + food (use the powerpoint). Extension: Write about your favourite food using the new vocabulary or you can add more food.

Writing activity: you can do this activity in your Literacy book (a new one was sent last Friday in your learning pack).  Como estas? yo estoy__feliz__(how are you? I am happy). Write 5 sentences using the vocabulary from the video. Check the video and complete the following sentences. Write date”Miercoles 29 de Abril,2020 and L.O.

Check this vocabulary and look for the meaning of each word in English, use a dictionary. You can use “wordreference” dictionary on line. Remember that words have gender in Spanish. If the word ends in “O” , it is for boys. If the word ends in “A” ,it is for girls. If  the word  ends in”E” or any other consonant, it is neutral (boys and girls). Click and check the vocabulary.

Write 10 sentences using the new vocabulary. Be careful with the gender. “Mi madre esta NERVIOSA, but, Mi Padre esta NERVIOSO”. Hola chicos y chicas , Que tal? yo tengo frio!!! Hoy hace mal tiempo. Hace frio , esta gris y esta lloviendo. Revise the weather. “Que tiempo hace? hace frio (it is cold), esta lloviendo (it is raining), hace mal tiempo (bad weather), hace sol (it is sunny), hace calor (it is hot).

Activities: Year 1: I want you to read the next paragraph and draw a picture. “Hola me llamo Gonzalo. Tengo 10 anos. Me gusta Azul (I like blue), no me gusta marron (I do not like brown). Read and draw a picture about “Gonzalo”. Extension: write your ow paragraph about yourself. Year 6: you need to write a forecast for the following cities: Buenos Aires, Argentina; Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; Quito, Ecuador; Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico; ciudad de Panama,Panama. You need to write full sentences, for example; “Hola Buenos dias , Londres, Inglaterra . Me llamo Gonzalo y estoy muy bien (for each sentence you change the name and the way you feel). Art: last week I asked you to do a “Comic ” at Busy Things. Now, I want you to do a “POP-UP BOOK” using the same comic or you can do whatever you want. It could be any story, any character, for example: “A Super Hero  pop up book”. It must have 6 pages.You need to draw pictures and decorate your book.You have two weeks to do it. Take pictures and upload them at our school website. Do you remember we learnt some techniques to do it?

Activities: Butterflies and Caterpillars revise the following questions with mum or dad. “Como te llamas? Me llamo…(what is your name? my name is…), Cuantos anos tienes? tengo ___anos (how old are u? I am…). Use numbers: uno, dos,tres,cuatro,cinco,seis,siete,ocho,nueve,diez.

Caterpillars: You need to revise these questions and songs.

Butterflies: you need to revise the questions and answers. Check this vocabulary: t2-l-721-at-the-cafe-bebidas-y-comidas-a4-display-poster-english_ver_2  Question and answer: Que bebes? yo bebo ____(what do you drink? I drink…). Check the vocabulary and revise this question and answer using the new vocabulary.

It is our “Semana de la Comida”- Food Week ,so, I would like to teach you how to prepare a Pizza. Check the  video “Haremos Pizza”, try to sing and learn the song. Ask your family to join you. Vocabulary: “rico= yummy, jamon = ham, maiz = corn, carne =meat, hongos = mushrooms, queso = cheese, pimientos = peppers , cebolla = onion. You can change the ingredients and create your own Pizza.
