Year 2 Thursday 25th June
Good morning Year 2!
How are you all today? Have you been outside enjoying the sun? Yesterday, I got some food from a restaurant and took it for a picnic dinner in Battersea Park. It was so lovely to spend some time outside.
Here is what you need to go with your home learning pack for today.

Year 2 Grammar Tips
Hello Year 2,
I know that some of you have been working very hard on your grammar activities at home and have asked for a little help understanding it all.
Here are two documents you might find useful. The first one is for you and explains what some of the words mean in a way that children can understand. The second one is for your grown-ups and explains all of the grammar that children learn in school in Year 1 and Year 2.
Grammar Gang posters for children
Grammar explanations for adults
You don’t have to do anything with this, it’s just there for you to read if you would like some extra help.
Any questions, just ask.
Love from Mrs Legg

The Rainbow
Hello everyone.
This week, our whole school theme is “Space” and in RE we are going to think about the rainbow. The rainbow has become a symbol of hope during the pandemic and it is a symbol that we use a lot in school for other reasons, too.
The rainbow first appears in the Bible at the end of the story of Noah. As you watch the story, think about why the rainbow was put into the sky and how that is similar, and different, to what you think about when you see a rainbow today. Share you thoughts, and a prayer if you would like to, in the comments.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I read some of my book, tidied all my clothes in my wardrobe, went on a bike ride and spoke to some friends on Zoom. What did you do at the weekend? Write me a comment to let me know!
Here is what you need to go with your home learning pack for today.

Hi Year 2,

Have a great weekend, everyone.
Year 2 Friday 19th June
Good morning Year 2!
Yesterday, when I got home from school, I did some baking. I made a Bakewell Tart which is one of my favourite things to eat! Sadly, when it was in the oven I was talking to my mum on the phone so the Bakewell Tart got a little bit burnt, but it still tastes yummy!
Here is what you need to go with your home learning pack for today.
