Day 9
Morning Year 6,
I cannot believe today marks the end of March! I hope you are all well and almost finished with your home-learning packs – I am going to include links to the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Maths Reasoning Papers towards the end of this blog, as I know these were missing from your folders you have at home. The sample 2016 and 2016 papers are not available to link but I can copy and paste the website for you to download them yourselves.
I have uploaded 2 Busy Things assignments today as you would normally have Spanish in the afternoon…
English – What is punctuation? (2).
Maths – Common multiples of 2, 5 and 10.
Mrs P has managed to get us the First News as a PDF version whilst we are learning from home. I know how much some of you like reading this newspaper, so I have made a link on our school website to access this every Friday. Here is the first one that I have uploaded…

As promised at the beginning of this blog, here are the links to the Maths Reasoning papers…

2018
2019
For the sample 2016 and 2016 papers, go to this website for the PDF downloads…

Well done to all of you who are accessing Busy Things and our Year 6 blog on a daily basis. I still have not heard from Abdullah, Lorenzo or Adyan. If any of you are in contact with them, please let them know that I hope they are well, and that it would be nice to hear from them.
I will be catching up with all of your parents (via telephone) over this week, to see how you are all getting on.
Have a great Tuesday.

Tuesday 31st March
Good morning Year 5,
It was lovely to speak to your parents and some of you yesterday on the phone. I’m glad all seems well considering the situation we find ourselves in at the moment.
I have added some more activities on busy things around area and perimeter following on from yesterday, prepositions for grammar, flags of Northern Europe and continents and oceans.
Also, some of you will be pleased to hear that ‘First News’ is now on the school website. If you go to All souls’ website (Not your USO), and click on ‘children’, you will see a first news link near the bottom of the drop down… Every Friday a new edition will be there for you to read.
Keep safe, keep calm and keep it up guys!

Happy Tuesday!
Hi Year 3,
Well done to Betty, Khaled, Rougayatou, Yahya, Fady, Amana and Irfan for completing their Busy Things activities! It’s great to see Amana having a go at Busy Things! I would love to see if more of you can do it. You have until Wednesday night!
Which activity on Busy Things has been your favourite so far? And which one has been the trickiest? I would love to know!
You may have also noticed that Miss McCarter has started a Bubble Time blog – please feel free to comment on there any worries or concerns that you are having and Miss McCarter will give you some advice.
Love Miss Gluyas

Hello Year 4 from Mrs P
Good morning Year 4,
I hope this message finds you all safe and well? I have been looking at all the classes blogs and I am missing everyone very much. It is great to see so many of you completing the work set by your teachers on Busy Things and it is lovely to read your blogs.
I have been busy doing school work and making sure that Noah and Arlo are completing all of their on-line learning too. Our whole family have been doing the workout with Joe every morning. Such a great way to start the day, are any of you taking part? We have also been doing some super stretching and some running. I hope you are getting a chance to move about a bit.
I have also been doing lots of reading and I hope you are too (I’m sure you are!). I’d love to hear about the books you’ve been reading and what you have liked about them. I know many of you are fans of David Walliams. Did you know he is reading his new book to children if you log on to his website.
I was thinking about you all yesterday as the weather produced an interesting form of precipitation – can anyone guess what I am talking about? I also watched an incredible episode of Blue Planet on the BBC about sharks – the photography was amazing. Steve Batchell was so excited to be swimming with Hammerheads and Tiger Sharks – I am not sure how much I would like to do that!
Would love to hear from any of you.

Hi there Year Six – I miss you – Mrs P xx
Good morning Year 6,
I hope this message finds you all safe and well? I have been looking at all the classes blogs and I am missing everyone very much. It is great to see so many of you completing the work set by your teachers on Busy Things and it is lovely to read your blogs.
I have been busy doing school work and making sure that Noah and Arlo are completing all of their on-line learning too. Our whole family have been doing the workout with Joe every morning. Such a great way to start the day, are any of you taking part? We have also been doing some super stretching and some running. Perhaps you should get an adult in your house to try and complete a weekly mile with you?
I have also been doing lots of reading and I hope you are too (I’m sure you are!). I’d love to hear about the books you’ve been reading and what you have liked about them. I know many of you are fans of David Walliams and he is reading his new book to children if you log on to his website.
Needless to say there has also been lots of baking in our house! We are trying not to make too many sugary things so I thought I would share a picture of the bread rolls we made yesterday but I am struggling to upload the photo. I will persevere and see if I can upload them later. They were delicious by the way. I know some of you have been baking too.
Would love to hear from any of you.
Mrs P xx
