Year 2 Thursday 30th April
Good morning Year 2!
How are you today? I have a couple of quick notices for you before you look at today’s lessons.
- Miss Ascough has written a new blog post so do have a look as there are some exciting activities for you on there.
- I’m going to finish this week’s phone calls today, so if you haven’t heard from me yet, today is the day!
I hope you enjoy today’s videos.
Literacy
This is Session 4. Get your writing book (from your home learning pack) ready, write today’s date, and then press play. The video will tell you what to do.
Maths
Today we are learning to recognise a quarter.
Find today’s maths sheet and get ready with a pencil. The video will tell you when to answer the questions on the sheet. To find the video, you need to go to this website:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/
When you are there, you need to click on Week 1, Lesson 4 – Recognise a Quarter. It looks like this:
Please ignore the dates on the website as we are not following these.
Everything else you need for today is in your home learning packs.
On the activity grid in the home learning packs (w/b 27th April), I suggested some websites you could use for the activities. I have put links to those websites here as you might find it easier to click than typing in the links. I will re-post these every day so don’t feel you have to click on them all today!
Links to websites suggested in home learning packs:
***Also remember to have a look at the RE Lessons blog one day this week to watch a video from Trevor.

Optional Extras:
If you would like some extra activities, then I have posted some links below. You can also have a look at BusyThings.
Literacy: Creating Sentences with Description
Maths: Working out how much change
Have a great day everyone.
Love from Mrs Legg
