Year 6 Homework Friday 13th November
Hello Year 6!
I’m sorry that your homework from last week hasn’t been marked yet. Laura had to help in another class at the last minute so wasn’t able to mark it on Friday, as planned. We’re looking forward to looking at both pieces of homework this week! 🙂
Here is the topic grid: Aut 2 Topic Grid 2
Complete one activity from the grid each week. If it is a writing task, complete it in your Literacy homework book. If it is a creative task, then bring in what you do separately. Bring in your completed homework on Wednesday 18th November.
Maths. Complete the sheet on Long Division, writing your answers in your Maths homework book. Bring your Maths book back to school on Wednesday 18th November.
For question 1, please draw the arrays in your book, using the squares to help you.

Hola Butterflies and Caterpillar!!!! Buenos Dias. Hoy es Viernes13 de Noviembre,2020.
Hola!!! Que tal? muy bien / mas o menos / muy mal (Hello, how are you? very well/ ok / bad. Ask the children to use question and answer. Model the activity. Let’s start singing “Hola”.
Now , let’s carry on with “Hola , como estas?”. Sing a long and ask the children to do the actions.
After singing : tell to your friend next to you Muy bien !!!
Let’s say the numbers up to ten. Ask children to count up to 10, they need to show you the fingers. UNO- DOS- TRES- CUATRO- CINCO- SEIS- SIETE- OCHO- NUEVE- DIEZ. Do it twice. Now play the song and encourage children to sing along with you.
Oral activity: L.O: to introduce yourself.
Ask the children
Como te llamas? Me llamo __(my name is). Encourage children to use the question and answer. Ask some children to perform in front of f the class.
Extension: ask children to use Que tal? muy bien/ mas o menos/ muy mal + Como te llamas? me llamo_____.
Days of the week activity: “Days of the week song”- “Los dias de la semana”. Revise days of the week LUNES- MARTES- MIERCOLES- JUEVES- VIERNES- SABADO- DOMINGO. Play the song. Expect Butterflies to sing along.
Check the video related to the days of the week. Encourage the children to start learning and singing the new song. Repeat.
End the session with this story. “El Regalo”.

Let’s start singing. “Robot cuadrado”- square robot. Follow the lyrics and try to sing.
Let’s check the vocabulary. Repeat the song and sing along.
Un robot cuadrado, grande y fuerte soy.= I am a square, big and strong robot.
Cuadrados los ojos, nariz y boca.= Square eyes, nose and mouth.
Cuadradas manos y cuadrados pies.= square hands and feet.
Vamos a hacer el baile del robot.= Let’s dance the robot dance.

Oral: ask children to use “Estoy (I am…) __________y _____________(choose two feelings from the new vocabulary). Reinforce previous grammar point.

Que tiempo hace? Hace frio y esta lloviendo (what is the weather like? it is cold and it is raining).
1. hace frio= it is cold
2. esta lloviendo= it is raining
3. esta nevando= it is snowing
4. hace mal tiempo= bad weather
5. esta nublado= it is cloudy
6. hace sol= it is sunny
7. hace calor= it is hot
8. hace buen tiempo= good weather
Ask to your learning patterns :” Que tiempo hace?”, write your answers in your white boards. Use the new vocabulary.
Written activity:Draw a beautiful picture in a A3 paper. You will need to write a little paragraph about you and your picture, at the top or at the bottom of your picture.

Hola chicos , Que tal ? muy bien , mas o menos or muy mal. Let’s start checking the weather!!! Como esta el clima? what is the weather like? Pick up your white board and write the new vocabulary to describe the weather. Check the video. Try to learn and say the words!!!
