Good morning and happy Monday
Today is Monday the 27th of April, I hope you are all good.
I heard that you have received the home learning packs, if you have any question about how to do it, please leave a comment but today I’ll call you to help with any problem.
The packs have activities for three weeks but don’t get stressed if they are too much, the idea is to work Math, Literacy and reading every day and one of the other per day. The packs should have instructions for each activity but feel free to ask us any doubt you have.
Edwaldeeh told me by phone that he enjoyed this workout so here it is again so you can have few minutes of exercise:
There is a new blog section! It’s for RE, have a look clicking here
As always take a look to the school website and to Miss Ascough’s blog.
Keep healthy and safe!

RE with Trevor w/b Monday 27th April
Hello everyone 🙂
Welcome to the All Souls RE blog. RE and Collective Worship are such important parts of what we do at All Souls, and I know that lots of you really enjoy it, so I hope you’ll be as excited as we are that we can keep going with it on here!
Every week, there will be a new video from Trevor for you to watch. Easter was not very long ago and we are going to be learning about what happened after Jesus rose from the dead. We’re going to be learning stories from the New Testament Bible book called Acts. Trevor will tell you more…
Questions:
1. Who wrote the book of Acts? What else did he write?
2. What does the word “gospel” mean?
3. What are some of the miracles Jesus did?
4. Why is Jesus’ death so important for Christians?
5. What do Christians believe happened on Easter Sunday? Why is that so important to them?
Once you’ve watched the video, you might want to write a prayer about what you’ve learnt. If you would like to, please share your prayer in the comments here. I’m looking forward to reading them!
Love from Mrs Legg

It could be any story, any character, for example: “A Super Hero pop up book”. It must have 6 pages. You need to draw pictures and decorate your book. You have two weeks to do it. Take pictures and upload them at our school website. Do you remember we learnt some techniques to do it?
Check the techniques we learnt at the school.
Dear children, I will be blogging your Spanish activities here. So, check everyday and write a message for me. Adios!!! MR. Gonzalo

Year 2 Monday 27th April
Good morning Year 2!
Did you have a good weekend? I had a lovely time doing lots of cooking, chatting with friends on the computer and riding my bike. What did you do?
I am very excited about our topic for the rest of this term: Castles and Knights. What do you already know about Castles and Knights? Write in the comments to tell me!
You all received your new home learning packs on Friday, so the blog posts will look a little different now as all the information you need is in your paper packs. However, you will still need to check these blogs every morning to find your Literacy lesson and your Maths lesson. Everything else you need is in your pack, along with a timetable to help you know how to use it. If you have any questions, just send me a message on here. Each day, I will also post a few optional extra activities for those of you who would like them.
Here are today’s video lessons.
Literacy
In Literacy we are going to be using a book called The Dragon Machine to inspire our writing. You don’t need to have the book at home – the videos I post will read it to you. Get your writing book (from your home learning pack) ready, write today’s date, and then press play. The video will tell you what to do.
Maths
In Maths, we are going to learn about fractions. We had just started doing this in school when we had to close. We are going to start from the beginning. This will mean we will revisit some things we learnt in school before moving on to new things.
Before you watch the video, make sure you have your maths sheet with today’s date ready. The video will tell you when to answer the questions on the sheet. To find the video, you need to go to this website:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/
When you are there, you need to click on Week 1, Lesson 1 – Make equal parts. It looks like this:
Please ignore the dates on the website as we are not following these.
Everything else you need for today is in your home learning packs.
On the activity grid in the home learning packs (w/b 27th April), I suggested some websites you could use for the activities. I have put links to those websites here as you might find it easier to click than typing in the links. I will re-post these every day so don’t feel you have to click on them all today!
Links to websites suggested in home learning packs:
Useful websites:

https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/members-area/kids/guide-to-castles/

Optional Extras:
If you would like some extra activities, then I have posted some links below. I have also put some activities on BusyThings.
Maths: The Mystery of the Missing Story Ending
Have a great day everyone and I hope you enjoy this new learning.

Use the book cover and the name of the book to infer the story line. You can use ‘talk to the hand’ to help you ask yourself the right questions to prompt you. Make sure you write in full sentences e.g I infer that……………………………………..because…………………………
