Day 12
Good morning Year 6,
Hope you are all up and ready to join in with the ‘Joe Wicks Workout’ this morning!
Well done to Aaron, Anna, Mischa, Jaber, Kapo, Aleena, Oliver and Arash for completing the Busy Things assignments I set for you yesterday.
Apologies about the ‘Macbeth’s Three Witches’ assignment – I understand there were a lot of issues with placing the correct words into the spaces. Well done Karim and Aleena for noticing this issue – I will email Busy Things to let them know.
I have uploaded 2 Busy Things assignments which will be open until Sunday 5th April:
English – The Globe Theatre
Maths – Common multiples of 7 and 11.
As I have included an activity based on labelling Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, I thought you might like to take a virtual tour of the actual theatre…

A message from Mrs P:
Well done everyone for all your hard work at home for the last 2 weeks. Today marks the end of the Spring term and it is now time for you to relax and spend time with your families for the next 2 weeks.
Over the Easter holiday, the teachers will be busy planning new paper work packs for you all, which will be delivered to you, at home, at some point over the first week after the Easter break.
In the meantime, please make sure you are checking your class bogs for any messages from your teacher. During Week 1 of the Summer Term, the teachers will be setting you some new maths and Busy Things activities, and I will be setting you a creative writing challenge each day.
We are missing you all and think about you every day. Remember keep reading, keep moving and keep on being kind to your families.
Mrs Plesniak
A message from Mr Gonzalo:
Please check out my special Spanish blog page – ‘Spanish with Mr Gonzalo’. I will write Spanish messages and set activities for you here.
Mr Gonzalo
I (Miss Cooley) will not be blogging every day over the Easter holiday, but will blog once a week to check in with you all. I will, of course, keep checking your replies – if you need to contact me, you can still use this space.
I hope you all have a well deserved break from your learning. Missing you all loads…
Miss Cooley xx

Day 10
Dear Year 6,
Are any of you going to do the Weekly Mile today? I am possibly going to go for a run around my local park this afternoon.
It was so good to speak with some of your parents yesterday – I will be continuing my phone calls today – so if I have not been in touch with your parents yet, I will be soon.
I have uploaded 2 Busy Things assignments for you today – these will be kept open until tomorrow (2nd April):
English – Is it a noun?
Maths – Common multiples of 3, 4 and 8.
As we would normally have P.E. today, I suggest you either do the Joe Wicks workout at 9am, or try learning how to dance with the world renowned dance group ‘Diversity’!
Follow the link below for a free trial (only available until 1st May)…
A huge well done to these pupils for accessing Busy Things yesterday and completing the assignments:
Anna, Aaron, Jaber, Aleena, Jimi, Oliver and Mischa.
I know from speaking with some parents that most of you are still working through your paper packs – this is great but please try to login to the Year 6 blog on a daily basis, as important information about learning etc might get posted, and I would not want you to miss anything.
Have a great Wednesday – look forward to hearing from you.

Day 9
Morning Year 6,
I cannot believe today marks the end of March! I hope you are all well and almost finished with your home-learning packs – I am going to include links to the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Maths Reasoning Papers towards the end of this blog, as I know these were missing from your folders you have at home. The sample 2016 and 2016 papers are not available to link but I can copy and paste the website for you to download them yourselves.
I have uploaded 2 Busy Things assignments today as you would normally have Spanish in the afternoon…
English – What is punctuation? (2).
Maths – Common multiples of 2, 5 and 10.
Mrs P has managed to get us the First News as a PDF version whilst we are learning from home. I know how much some of you like reading this newspaper, so I have made a link on our school website to access this every Friday. Here is the first one that I have uploaded…
https://www.allsoulsprimary.co.uk/children/first-news
As promised at the beginning of this blog, here are the links to the Maths Reasoning papers…

Well done to all of you who are accessing Busy Things and our Year 6 blog on a daily basis. I still have not heard from Abdullah, Lorenzo or Adyan. If any of you are in contact with them, please let them know that I hope they are well, and that it would be nice to hear from them.
I will be catching up with all of your parents (via telephone) over this week, to see how you are all getting on.
Have a great Tuesday.

Hi there Year Six – I miss you – Mrs P xx
Good morning Year 6,
I hope this message finds you all safe and well? I have been looking at all the classes blogs and I am missing everyone very much. It is great to see so many of you completing the work set by your teachers on Busy Things and it is lovely to read your blogs.
I have been busy doing school work and making sure that Noah and Arlo are completing all of their on-line learning too. Our whole family have been doing the workout with Joe every morning. Such a great way to start the day, are any of you taking part? We have also been doing some super stretching and some running. Perhaps you should get an adult in your house to try and complete a weekly mile with you?
I have also been doing lots of reading and I hope you are too (I’m sure you are!). I’d love to hear about the books you’ve been reading and what you have liked about them. I know many of you are fans of David Walliams and he is reading his new book to children if you log on to his website.
Needless to say there has also been lots of baking in our house! We are trying not to make too many sugary things so I thought I would share a picture of the bread rolls we made yesterday but I am struggling to upload the photo. I will persevere and see if I can upload them later. They were delicious by the way. I know some of you have been baking too.
Would love to hear from any of you.
Mrs P xx

Day 8
Good morning Year 6.
I hope this blog finds you well, and that you all had a lovely weekend.
I had a bit of a lazy Sunday, which involved reading my book and baking an apple and orange cake. What did you all get up to? What book are you reading at the moment? Remember to be reading for at least 30 minutes per day!
I have uploaded 4 Busy Things assignments for you today:
English – What is punctuation? (1).
Maths – Calculating volume of 3D shapes.
Science – Digestive system.
Geography – Cocoa producing countries.
I know that Kapo does not have the ‘Adverb Arrow’ sheet in her pack – please do not worry if this is missing for all of you. I tried to include a link to the sheet but as it is a PDF, it would not work. I will see if I can post it as a picture tomorrow.
As today would normally be our day for Science, I thought you might like the Science Museum link I found (I know that Karim will definitely enjoy this). Here you can explore the museum’s collection, complete brain-teasing puzzles or learn about science with a range of science games and apps…
https://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/games-and-apps
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
